Flyin' first class

Oh the times are a changing...

I was lucky enough to fly first class from Vancouver to London, let me tell you it makes all the difference in the world. It was Amazing!!! Free champagne, nice wine, reclining seats, warm towels, slippers, and a nice blanket and pillow to rest on. I arrived in London about as fresh as one could expect with only 4 hours of sleep, and it being 2 in the morning my time. My flight from London to Amsterdam wasn't as pleasurable, though it was only 45 minutes which wasn't so bad.

I arrived in Amsterdam, and was met by Mike, who came to pick me up. He got me on a train, and brought me to Centraal Station in Amsterdam, and hopped on a bus to pick up my keys and sign my lease. All this was done with my two huge duffel bags and two carryons, which was very painful, in fact I'm still sore from it. After getting my keys I was done with being a mule, and called a cab to bring me to my place. I've been sleeping a lot since I've been here but am now totally accustomed to this time zone. My roomates are all quite nice, five girls (naturally), and me.

This was on my first day in Amsterdam, just wandering around the city and getting used to it. I managed to get very lost, but its a confusing little place, no logic to the streets, which I'm learning to love, but my North American gridlike brain is having trouble adjusting to.

I am not sure what this was all about, but it made me want to play some Tetris

Some lovely, mmmm, shoes, made of chocolate.

This is the Koninklijk Palace, in a huge square. Its a nice reference point in the city as I can usually find my way where I need to go from here.

Some gorgeous hotel on a canal

I loved the laurel leaves on this building, I have no idea what it is, but its pretty nice.

This was a nice little Cafe, on the edge of the Red Light district, which i wandered in to accidentally on my first day, and on purpose on the second.

These are my new favorite cars, they put the smart car to shame. Plus they only come in red, its like the Model T all over again.

Tulips are everywhere, surprise surprise.

I saw this and immediately thought of Connor. How long til you think he asks me to buy him one?
